The One, Two Combo! The War On Drugs

As I mentioned in the Kurt Vile post from yesterday, Kurt was formally a member of today's AWESOME band of discussion - The War on Drugs.   Go ahead and click the link to listen to "Under The Pressure" while you read on....   also I am pretty sure "Eyes to the Wind" is one of my favorite songs of ALL time.

These guys are so incredibly talented I am shocked they are not more popular than their current pseudo under the radar status.  Hailing from Philadelphia, The War on Drugs boasts a unique sound that blends elements of Indie, Classic Rock, Jam Band, Bob Dylan, and countless other influences.

The War on Drugs was formed in 2005,  after frontman Adam Granduciel moved from Oakland, California to Philadelphia, where he met Kurt Vile, who had also recently moved back to Philadelphia after living in Boston for two years. The duo subsequently began writing, recording and performing music together. Vile stated, "Adam was the first dude I met when I moved back to Philadelphia in 2003. We saw eye-to-eye on a lot of things. I was obsessed with Bob Dylan at the time, and we totally geeked-out on that. We started playing together in the early days and he would be in my band, The Violators. Then, eventually I played in The War On Drugs." [Wikipedia]

Long story short, The War on Drugs, kick ass.  In my opinion Lost in the Dream was the album of the year in 2015.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
