ChVurches and HAIM release debut albums!!

This is a BIG week for the Ladies of Indie rock! Two of 2013's best records are released within a 7 day span and feature highly talented Female vocalists.

First, from Glasgow, UK is the band ChVrches with their debut release "The Bones Of What You Believe". This album was released on Tuesday September 24, 2013 featuring the singles "Mother We Share" and "Gun". This album will capture your attention all the way through. Most notably are the tracks "Night Sky" and "Under the Tide" and of course the two singles. All of the tracks are excellent, showcasing the band's diversity, unique sound, and uplifting lyrics.

I'm the night-sky
I'm the fire in your eyes
And I want you Now and for all time
I'm the cold heart
I'm the secret that you hide
I'll be listening until you decide

I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase and would give the "THUMBS UP" recommendation to drop the extra coin for Vinyl.


Next, from Los Angeles is HAIM - the Sister Trio of Danielle, Alana and Este Haim - set to release their debut album "Days Are Gone" this coming Tuesday September 30, 2013.

HAIM started as a family band called RockinHaim when the girls played together along with their parents. As they progressed, the girls eventually dropped the 'Rockin' to become known simply as HAIM. They went out and found drummer Dash Hutton and started tearing up the Indie Rock Scene. 

This album is an ABSOLUTE MUST and (again) I would give the "THUMBS UP" recommendation to drop the extra coin for Vinyl.
