As the dust settles in Ferguson....

Ferguson, MO - As the dust begins to settle and the tear gas clears out -  A family is left torn apart and the same story will probably unfold again....  Different name, different town.

Ferguson, Missouri is a suburb outside of St. Louis, MO just 24 miles NE of where I grew up.  It's a place that seemingly doesn't have much opportunity or prestige.   This is a subject that is close to my heart.  I didn't want to respond to soon, until I had time to digest...

You've probably never heard of Ferguson before August 9th?

It all starts with us / our mind:

Don't be kept in the boxes that someone else puts you in.

Never give up.

Make you're own path.

NEVER judge or inflict harm on others.

Grab a Ca$h Mony, sit back and think about how you can make a difference moving forward.

CHVRCHES "Now is not the time" + Brew Dog Punk IPA

Got a great combo for you today!

I'm sure you've heard CHVRCHES album in its entirety by now... but there is one track that you may not have heard?  It's a secret and its's not on their debut album.  "Now is not the time" is another amazing track from the Scottish Trio that immediately commands your attention and evokes a lot of emotions from times past.

I love this track and it deserves to be paired with a superior Scottish IPA - BrewDog Punk IPA will knock your socks off with its complex hoppy flavor. Punk IPA is a 5.6% trans-Atlantic fusion IPA with light golden colour, tropical fruits and light caramel. The palate soon becomes assertive and resinous with the New Zealand hops balanced by the biscuit malt. The finish is aggressive and dry with the hops emerging over the warming alcohol.  Available in most specialty brew shops across the US.  Get it in a 4 pack today.  Its a little pricey for what you get, but well worth it!

- Prost!

I wanna get better, better better - Bleachers

I came across these guys, Bleachers,  the other day and like what I hear!  I am not really a fan of the group "FUN" or the show "Girls" but Ducky Antonoff's side project is pretty intriguing. Bleachers first single features a pulse pumping chorus, positive spirited synth, and optimistic lyrics.  Listen once and I'll bet you'll be singing the words in your head later.

"Coffee" the perfect chill electronic

Hey there, I heard a new song that immediately caught my attention.   Haven't heard them before and can't find much about them.  Located their bio of Facebook and found the following...

"Sylvan Esso is a collaboration between vocalist Amelia Meath and electronic musician Nick Sanborn. Meath’s powerful voice is front and center, unjoined by fellow harmonizers as it is in her folk group, Mountain Man. Sanborn, who plays bass in the genre-destroying Megafaun, creates intricate, pulsing grooves for Meath’s voice to inhabit. The pair’s debut was the Hey Mami / Play It Right 12″, a “single” with 2 A sides, featuring a capella and instrumental versions of each song, released July 2013 on Trekky Records. The band's next release, Coffee / Dress 12" is out 3/25"

Hear their next release HERE before its scheduled release on March 25th.

This Will Destroy You!! Live in Reykjavik, Iceland

You are likely familiar with the band "Explosions in the Sky" famous for their instrumental melodies that will melt you away as you allow them to overtake you.  Well there is another band, also from Texas, that is right up there with Explosions in the "delivering the goods" category.  This Will Destroy You is from San Marcos, Texas and has toured Internationally many times over.  The particular track I've chosen to share is one of my favorites and was preformed live in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Give them a listen HERE.  You will be pleasantly pleased with what you hear.

Enjoy.
